Here is a report from the Colorado Department of Human Services for child abuse reporting stating that calls to the child abuse and neglect hotline system have dropped by more than 50% during the COVID-19 outbreak. We can assume this not unique to Colorado and that these cases are still occurring and in some instances getting worse and children may now be in more stressful home environments.
