    Mental Health America BIPOC Mental Health Toolkit

    Mental Health America has launched a new toolkit in observance of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) Mental Health Month (formerly Minority Mental Health Month).

    The new BIPOC Mental Health hub available here https://mhanational.org/bipoc-mental-health has new content explaining the change in language that has occurred across MHA and their use of the term "minority."

    Plus, the toolkit for BIPOC MHM accessible here https://mhanational.org/BIPOC-mental-health-month includes:

    • Lists of resources specifically for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities;
    • Handouts on racism and mental health and racial trauma;
    • An infographic built from MHA screening data on BIPOC and LGBTQ+ mental health;
    • Social media assets (graphics and suggested language)
    • A Call to Action for people to share how discrimination and/or racism have affected their mental health using the hashtag #ImpactofTrauma;
