On March 4th, Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Kenneth L. Marcus at the U.S. Department of Education released a letter addressing concerns of harassment of certain students amid ongoing concerns over the spread of the coronavirus.
The letter urges that schools pay special attention to bullying and other unfair treatment of students who are perceived to be Chinese-American or otherwise of Asian descent.
